NORTH AMERICA

The Creare Group believes that business is returning to this hemisphere and we are strategically positioned to help companies who wish to take advantage of this trend do so. We are working with both new and existing manufacturers, as well as emerging “Made in USA” brands, to ensure that our clients have as strong a resource base as possible.

SOUTH AMERICA

While we constantly look at mills and factories throughout the region, our recent focus has been on Peru, given their expertise in the area of Pima Cotton fabrics and garments. We currently have several core and fashion programs going through this region, most specifically in casual bottoms, wovens and knits. 

EUROPE

While many resources continue to exist across the European continent, in many ways, the design signature of the Biella region of Italy cannot be matched. The Creare Group continues to cultivate new relationships in this important region; one that has existed since the inception of the company:

Tessitura Monti has produced the highest quality textile designs for over 100 years, operating in plants in Italy, the Czech Republic and India.  Monti textiles is immersed in a landscape made of palladian villas, of architecture composed of stones in elegant weaves, in laces and embroideries, in designs of both simple and intricate. Warps and wefts recall the structures suggested by the countryside, the vineyards, the roads, and the canals. This cultural inheritance pervades the territory and the city and reverberates, amplified, in the daily doings of the people, accompanied by skill, by passion, and by a sense of the beautiful. 

AFRICA

While opportunities to take advantage of the African Opportunity Growth Act (AOGA) exist in vari- ous countries throughout Africa, our focus over the last several years has been with our partners at the Ciel Group. A design driven group of owned mills and manufacturers based in Mauritius, the Creare Group works intimately with Ciel and its subsidiaries, including having an in-house design both in NYC and in Biella, Italy. The group is made of several product specific businesses:

Aquarelle, specializes in the design and manufacturing of sport & casual shirts out of Mauritius, Madagascar, and India. With Aquarelle’s ownership of the CFL mill (Consolidated Fabrics LTD), they are uniquely vertical is this region of the world.

Laguna, specializes in dress shirts out of Mauritius, Madagascar and India with both pre-cure and post-cure capabilities. Laguna has a 50/50 strategic partnership with Tessitura Monti Italy with two of its factories.

Floreal, specializes in sweaters out of Mauritius and Madagascar. Vertical with woolen yarns like lambswool, and strong partnership with suppliers in both Italy and China for other yarns like merino and cashmere.

Tropic, specializes in knits, merino and merino blend base layer, and jersey fabrics. The operation, like many of the Ceil group companies is vertical which leads to greater innovation and value. 

ASIA

We work with various resources across Asia, both for textiles as well as finished garments, but two of our strongest partners are Hualu and Jeca. We personally work with each mill to refine their fabric and design offerings.

Hualu is a leading producer of wool and wool blend fabrics, tailored for both the moderate and luxury markets. Utilizing Creare’s USA and Biella design offices, the mill’s efficient production, speed to market, and ability to produce high value fabric has made it a long term supplier for many customers in both North American and Europe.

Jeca, with its joint Chinese and German ownership team has become known for modern styling, fabrications and key technical finishes. The mill’s strength exists in seasonal fabrications, from cotton flannels and moleskins in the fall, to featherweight cottons and linen blends in the spring.
